How to connect AUTOSAR client server ports in system composer?

It seems that, when creating the AUTOSAR classic architecture with system composer, it is not possible to connect the client server P and R ports of software components which using client server interface to communicate. In the exported arxml files of the software composition, the connectors are also missing for the client server ports.

This is also the same when I create architecture model by importing from existing arxml files of a top level composition authored in external tools(System Desk, or DaVinci Developer), the connectors bewteen client server provide and requested ports are missing.

Has anyone noticed this? It seems to be a serious resitriction for the AUTOSAR supporting tools, since not all AUTOSAR project contains only SR or mode ports. Or anyone has a solution or workaround when building AUTOSAR application architecture?

Hi Meng,

It is not possible to connect the client and server ports in AUTOSAR classic architecture models. This is actually one of the limitations of 'Creating AUTOSAR Architecture from System Composer Model'.

You can use client/server ports in AUTOSAR adaptive. Does that resolve your issue?
