Matlab Engine API for Python: multidimarray for python

I am trying to install matlab engine api for python and i am using google colab for python. I installed matlab engine api for python using the steps mentioned in the documentation for MacOS but multidimarrayforpython is not getting downloaded.

What is multidimarrayforpython? Is this a library for Python? Can you elaborate on that please?
