Can't you just log back in?
Are you facing this issue everytime you do this particular step?
i am also having this error
Were you prompted to sign in during the installer session? Can you please try restarting the machine and trying the installer again?
I am getting the same error message. I tried restarting the machine as instructed, but it did not help in my case.
Same for me. I have already tried logging in back and repeating, but not still not working
I had the same problem but somehow I solved it. When the installer asked me to login, I didn't use my usual password, but I chose the option to request a one -time password.
I then followed the steps to get that one-time password and used it to login in the installer. This time, I was able to accept the license agreement without any errors showing up.
Thanks Guglielmo, that trick worked for me as well!
I have the same problem and can't make it work. At which point can you choose the one-time password?

I also don't know where the one-time password is. I only a have university-account.
That's the old version. Can you try it with R2025a?
i have the same error in the R2025a
I am also still having the same issue with R2025a
I'm having the same issue with R2024b and R2025a (the ones I tried). The only possible option for me is to login using my university credentials which works, but the same login expiration error in accepting license.
I have the same issue, I cannot install matlab
same Problem for us
Same here with 2025a and university login (that, working). Error shows up after accepting licence agreement as in the screenshot
Solved thanks to @Guglielmo suggestion! But same as @Erik, I had trouble finding the one-time-password option. I stumbled upon it after closing the university pop-up window before having logged in (or maybe you have to fail the login). After that, the installer prompts the one time password option (you have to copy a link which redirects to the university login option but inside your browser, not the installer-built-in one). Feels like a workaround more than a solution but the installation is now complete.
Closing the university pop-up window seems to be the solution for me as well. From there I can use the one time password. Had to do this again inside MATLAB to login but it works now.
Dear @Lorenzo and @GIACOMO , I am glad this worked for you as well.
For the people that used this method and it did not work, try to delete your browser history(Including cookies) and try again. This helped me, dont ask me how please.

I've notified the Mathowrk account team of the issue and they are looking into it. In the meantime, someone called them and they helped her get online:
