Installing Toolboxes
Show older comments
Hi, when i was downloading and installing my Matlab version, i selected all available products, and on my licence manager i can also see that i have the right to use several toolboxes like financial toolbox, optimization toolbox etc. A friend of mine told me that i can see my installed toolboxes via 'ver', where it tells me i have only installed Matlab and Spreadsheet Link EX. Is there any way to install the other toolboxes ex-post? Thanks for your answers Sebastian

Possibly you do not have those toolboxes activated against *that* MATLAB license, or possibly your toolbox licenses are for a previous MATLAB version.

First of all, yes the VER command returns all successful installed products. I have seen cases where the installtion of toolboxes was not successful, as the downloaded files of the toolbox were not in the same directory than the installer. But this may be obsolete information. In any case, I suggest trying the installer again an selcect what ever customer installation options you have. By doing that, you will see wheter the Financial Toobox will be offered at all.
If that does not work, please contact MathWorks installation support (next Monday :-) ). A note on that, as I read the question "Why does MathWorks not answer installation questions on Answers?" yesteday: Like in this case, there are so many variables like is this a Student Version, a professional version, a concurrent, a stand-alone, whioch release, OS.......
