Why do I receive a dll error when opening the Support Package installer?

TWhen trying to launch the Support Package Installer in MATLAB I get a dll error similar to the following:
ERROR: Error using hwconnectinstaller.show
Can't reload 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\bin\win64\dastudio.dll'
Error in hwconnectinstaller.launchInstaller
Error in supportPackageInstaller

This error can occur when MATLAB interacts with Dell Backup and Recovery. To resolve this issue, please see the relevant Bug Report:
