hold on should work:
hold on
plot(x1, y1, 'b')
plot(x2, y2, 'r')

I think what you are looking for is the hold command. Your code should look something like this:
hold on %by setting hold to on, you can plot to the same window
plot(x1,y1) %the first plot you want
plot(x2,y2) %the second plot you want
