Ask for activation again and again
Show older comments
After installation (which already includes activation), whenever I try to launch MATLAB it just shows the "MathWorks Software Activation" window and asks me to activate. After the activation (when it says "Activation is complete" and I click "Finish"), nothing shows up, the MATLAB program is not launched. And when I try to launch the program again (by clicking the shortcut on start menu, or directly launching the matlab.exe, or by clicking a .m script file), it just goes to the "MathWorks Software Activation" window and asks me to activate again. I have tried activate by logging into my MathWorks account, and by using the license file, the same problem remains. But when I check the license center, my computer shows up under "Manage My Activations". I have also tried deactivate it online and then activate it on my computer again, the problem remains. The version is R2015b, on a Windows 10 (64-bit).

You need to once Run As Administrator . That will allow it to update a file in a protected directory.

Then call the Mathworks for fast and free help, even for the student edition. By the way, I don't need to login as administrator to get it to install properly.

It's the same with me. I have installed it correctly and i have activated it like a hundred times because it won't open no matter what icon I click on.

As Image Analyst suggested as a comment on the other answer to the other poster, contact Technical Support for assistance.
