Apply Variable to Plot

Hello All,

I am attempting to add a variable to a time series plot. See attached screen shots. When I drag the variables (s, w, lead and lag ) from the Workspace into the plot and drop the variables in the plot nothing is populated. It appears " some horizontal line " is added inside the plot but the expected plot outcome is not seen. Any suggestions on what I am doing incorrectly would be greatly appreciated.
