last trial when optimization fail

Hi all, I am doing an optimization using fminunc. The optimization process crashes due to some error (I have also tried fminsearch which encounters the same error). I wonder if there is any possibility to capture the last trial of the parameter values within the optimization process before the error occurs? Expect your idea and thanks in advance.

What is the problem with just dumping the (ALL) function calls to the command window?

In the beginning of your objective function, write out the values it is passed. The last call before the error will tell you the problem.

You can always take out those lines when the code is operating properly, or even just comment them out.
