Is it possible to install Matlab Home on a work computer?
Show older comments
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a Matlab Home license and would like to know if it is possible to install it on my work computer. I have already installed on my personal computer but would like to install it on my work computer due to different OS.
Many thanks, Joe

I don't see why you can't install it where you want, since the license covers what you are allowed to use it for rather than what machine you have it on, but you are always better asking these things to Mathworks directly via a technical support request than relying on community answers.

It may well be read by someone from Mathworks (many Mathworks employees do check this forum and esp. for tags relevant to their area of expertise) and passed on, but it is a bit hit and miss and could take longer than just putting in a support request.

If I recall correctly the Home license is restricted to computers that you own.
Note: Home license is also restricted to one computer.
This in addition to Adam's point about what you do with the software.

"The Student License and Home License each permit the Licensee to use the Programs on one Computer that Licensee owns or leases provided (i) the Programs are only accessible to, and used by, Licensee, and (ii) Licensee has provided machine-specific identification for such Computer through the registration and activation process. "
So, NO -- not unless possibly you own your work computer.
