Question about plotting complex numbers with a given condition
Show older comments
Hi,
I've got no clue how I would plot the complex numbers z in matlab, given the following conditions:
- abs(z*e^(1-z)) = 1
- abs(z)<=1
Please give me hint or something to help me, I'm really stuck!

For example,
Tolerance = 0.01;
TargetVal = 3;
F = @(z) z.^3 - abs(z);
Condition = @(z) (abs(F(z) - TargetVal) <= Tolerance);
datavals = linspace(-5,5,50);
[X, Y] = ndgrid(datavals);
Z = X + 1i .* Y;
TF = Condition(Z);
surf(datavals, datavals, TF);
