Inbetweening for 2 Images

Hey all,
I am trying to make an average between 2 images in which that my new image should be a shape between these two not the average of image variable

I have to mention images are the same size, but the shapes inside increased a lot in the second one
Upload your two photos, plus a result (if you can mock one up, say in Photoshop or GIMP or something).
Dear Image Analyst,
These are my images, actually I am trying to make a model 3D out of 55 CT scan Images and slides are not enough so I have to make images between these 55 to have like 110 images

I appreciate any idea!
If this is being done for the sake of visual display, then the field is generally known as "inbetweening".
Actually the model itself is important it is not just for visualizing that's why I am searching for a mathematical calculation in Matlab, Do you have any comments how it is possible?
I have checked interpolation function but I want to have an image between these 2 not an image with the coefficient of one,
Dear Walter Roberson,
Inbetweening -as far as I have checked - is possible with some special software but not matlab,
And I already with this code put my tif file which has 55 images in Matlab
mov = mmreader('F.avi');
nFrames = mov.NumberOfFrames;
for k = 1 : nFrames
A(k).cdata =rgb2gray(read(mov, k));
end
inbetweening can be a complex process. I am not _aware_ of any MATLAB implementation.
Do you have any idea about interpolation, about how I have to introduce Z function for ZI = interp2(Z,XI,YI)
I have an idea to give images as XI and YI to see what I can obtain but I dont know how I can introduce Z
