I have done all of the steps, but when i input smlink_linksw I get the following dialog box pop up. I checked the specified path and the file is there. What do I do? I need this link to do my lab.

You might be able to install an older version of MATLAB for the purposes of this link; see http://my.solidworks.com/reader/forumthreads/211850/simscape-multibody-cl-sldwks2smdll-failed-to-load

Hi Jacob,
The missing "mfc140u.dll" is the cause of this error. To resolve the issue, simply download the 64-bit "mfc140u.dll" from the following link and move it to "matlab/bin/win64": https://www.sts-tutorial.com/sites/downloadCenter.php?mfc140u
Let me know if this solves the issue.
Thanks,
Arvind Narayanan
