This error will occur when the user does not have sufficient permissions on the archives folder when installing a support package offline.
To resolve this issue, perform the installation with elevated permissions or contact your IT Staff to grant the necessary permissions to the archives folder.
The downloaded support package files may be different from MATLAB client which would cause this error, please verify that the downloaded files are for the same release of MATLAB.
This error also occurs on macOS when installing support packages via the offline installation workflow if the archives folder has not been moved to "/Users/Shared" prior to attempting the offline installation.
This is similar to the error which occurs when trying to install MATLAB on a Mac using download-only files without moving them to /Users/Shared:
How can I obtain MATLAB macOS offline installation files for MATLAB releases that do not have a .DMG available?
