Matlab update 2018a keeps failing

I'm trying to update MATLAB 2018a with update 2, because that was supposed to fix the syms error problem, but when I try to update, it keeps failing and I get a list of warnings. I tried multiple times. Update 1 also fails, how do I fix this? Reinstalling it also doesn't work. I got the updates from the website, because when I look for updates through Matlab directly, I get a message updates are available, but I can't see the full message and can't click on anything else but the close button, I can't make the window bigger and I can't scroll down.

The warnings look like this:

Need to update: toolbox/slrt/target/kernel/XXXXX
Warning: File on disk does not match expected meta data
Warning:   meta size: 1526446 meta time: 1503595432 (orig)
Warning:   meta size: 1526449 meta time: 1512792246 (new)
Warning:   disk size: 1527326 disk time: 1521632126
Warning:   Skipping update

Please help me.

Please post a copy of the messages.

Can you just reinstall only the Simulink Real Time Toolbox and try reinstalling the update?

Venkata, Any other ideas? I have same issue on Linux with Update 4.

I had the same issue that the installation failed. For me it helped to change the destination folder path in the installation setup from "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018a" to "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018a\" adding the "\" at the end.

Does not work. I give up. Update 2 installation is OK, but update 3 does not install.
