p-code won't open

Im trying to open a .p file that my professor shared with my class. Whenever I call it or load it, matlab says its unreadable and that there is no such file or directory. I have it in the correct folder with the homework .m file I created. I am using r2018b on a mac. thanks

YOu can open a .p code....how ever you can run it....see help to know the code.

does it show up when you ls ? What shows up if you
!ls -l FileNameGoesHere.p
!file FilenameGoesHere.p
