Plotting a sum function

Hello,

As you can see from the pictures I've provided, I'm trying to match the function on the desmos graphing calculator. For whatever reason, the maximum which my function reaches on Matlab is approximately -.06 & 0.6. I'm assuming im doing something incorrect with Matlab? Any idea what I'm doing incorrectly and how I can fix it?

You did not add the 1/2 until after you graph.
