How to set boundary conditions?

I solve 2D heat equation.

I want to set the Dirichlet boundary condition and the Neumann boundary condition alternately and very finely on edge of ellipse like this figure.

Specifically, I want to set 100 Dirichlet boundary conditions and 100 Neumann boundary conditions alternately in each of region(E1,E2,E3,E4).

What should I write program?

If you are using PDE Toolbox, then you have to create all those edges, and then you would be able to do it. Refer to the documentation, decsg. You need to create the gd matrix will all the edges you want.

But my question is, why do you need to model such interlaced BCs?
