I cannot download Matlab software

Hi,
The installation process stops at around 14% and I get the following error message: Missing File (Connection refused).
I have tried already three times, and I always get the same error. Before each installation I clean the Applications folder, i.e. delete the Matlab folder which was created by the previous installation.
The question is whether this is typical for the test software or would I get the same message if I were to buy the license directly?
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you!

The results would not be different if you were to buy the license directly. That part of the installation process does not know which license you are using.
The questions before that point about license are just to ensure that you have some right to download the software. The software is exactly the same for all license types.
Thank you, but then how can I proceed with the installation, i.e. how to debug it?

My questions would be:
It apears as if this is for a trial version from your comments?
What operating system?
Where are you trying to do this from? I.e., what part of the world?
Have you contacted The Mathworks about your problem? That is very possibly what you need to do anyway.
You will probably need to contact Mathworks for free installation support.
That particular error tends to be associated with firewalls blocking access. We have seen some people from China encounter it because of national firewalls. I do not think that Latvia has any national firewalls, though.
I am located in Austria, and trying to run the software on macOC Catalina. No, I have not contacted the Mathworks yet, but I guess that is the next step.
If you have some experience, you could potentially try to track down what it is trying to connect to by using dtruss or dtrace https://stackoverflow.com/questions/31045575/how-to-trace-system-calls-of-a-program-in-mac-os-x or by monitoring packets using tcpdump .
