How do I get rid of datatips in the MATLAB editor?

When I am editing a script or a function, the datatips show up intermittently and then I cannot see my code.
How do I turn it off?

1. In the Home tab -> Preferences -> Display , uncheck "Enable datatips in edit mode"
2. If it is unchecked and the issue still persists, disconnect and reconnect your mouse.
