Why does the Requirements Management Interface in Simulink Verification and Validation not display an option to link to DOORS?

Both DOORS and Simulink Verification and Validation are installed on my computer. I followed the steps outlined in the documentation to setup and configure the Requirements Management Interface in Simulink Verification and Validation for use with DOORS. Afterward, I am unable to link a Simulink or Stateflow object to a DOORS requirement. In particular, the "Requirements > Add link to current DOORS object" option is not displayed in the context (right-click) menu of a Simulink object.

This issue can arise if DOORS was not installed properly. According to Telelogic, a valid DOORS installation on Windows includes the following key in the system registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telelogic\DOORS
If this key is not present, your DOORS installation is invalid and Simulink Verification and Validation cannot interact with it.
Use the Windows Registry Editor to confirm that this key exists in the system registry. If the key is missing, you must reinstall DOORS. Afterward, configure Simulink Verification and Validation for use with DOORS as described in the documentation at the following website:
