Where is the file MCRInstaller.exe located on my machine?

I have the MATLAB Compiler and wish to deploy a stand-alone application on some machines that do not have MATLAB installed on them. I understand I need to run the MCRInstaller.exe on those machines first and want to know where this file is located.

In MATLAB 7.5 (R2007b) and newer, the following command can be used to determine where the installer is located:

mcrinstaller

For older versions of MATLAB, the MCRInstaller.exe is located in the folder:

 $MATLABROOT\toolbox\compiler\deploy\$ARCH

where $MATLABROOT is the MATLAB root directory and $ARCH is the system architecture (such as win32, win64, glnx86 etc.). The MATLAB root directory may be determined by entering the command:

matlabroot

at the MATLAB command prompt.
