How do I determine which product corresponds with the increment lines in my license file?

Looking at my new license file, it contains a NOTICE tag. For example:
INCREMENT MATLAB MLM 37 28-feb-2018 13 2FFB4313E41A \
    VENDOR_STRING=vi=0:at=200:ae=1:lu=300:lo=CN:ei=3272936:lr=1:ep=60: \
    DUP_GROUP=UH asset_info=518849 ISSUED=15-Jun-2017 BORROW=720 \
    NOTICE=product=MATLAB SN=518849
Why is this tag added and what does it do?

The NOTICE tag states the product name and the SN tag states the license number the product belongs to.
