I saw this on Reddit and thought of the past mini-hack contests. We have a few folks here who can do something similar with MATLAB.

In case you haven't come across it yet, @Gareth created a Jokes toolbox to get MATLAB to tell you a joke.

A bit late. Compliments to Chris for sharing.
Unlike last year's contest, there are some new technologies this year that might offer some advantages. Namely generative AI's like ChatGPT, Bard, etc. Not to be excluded, MathWorks just launched the AI Chat Playground :)
Hi all,
I am wondering whats the total cost to use MATLAB for algo trading. The transparent part is of coz the price of matlab and the toolboxes. But I was shocked to find out the APIs to connect to Interactive Brokers are not free (costly in fact!). Is there free API to connect to IB? What other hidden costs are there? I saw the X Trader in the Automated Trading with MATLAB video. Is this XTrader software part of MATLAB toolbox? Do we need to pay additional to Trading Technologies (to use X_Trader). Also what data feed is the most cost effecient? Is there any additional hidden cost that I am not aware of?
Thanks!
The contest development team has identified an issue when trying to link your new entries to submissions in the File Exchange. The issue has prevented some users from successfully linking their entries. We have a fix and will be deploying it today at 3pm EST.
We operate roughly 600 data loggers on Think Speak where there are roughly 150 gateways and each gateway communicates with a node. Our channels are labeled node# - gateway number and each number is 16 diigits. We have not found a wildcard search function so must have each number exactly right or we cannot find our channel. In some cases we wish to query a gateway and see which nodes are successfully communicating with it.

Over the past several months our communities have been the target of ongoing spam attacks. Spam is a common issue online and spam prevention is something we include as part of our standard development processes. The most recent attempts appear to be specifically targeting our sites with a combination of manual and automated attacks, probing with a variety of content attempting to bypass our filters. Regrettably, the attacks sometimes make it through our defenses, cluttering your inboxes and the content in our communities.

Rest assured, we are dedicated to continuing to evolve our tools and improve our capabilities to meet the goal of eliminating all spam in our communities. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get there.

Sincerely,

David Wey
