Bringing Sensor Data to Simulation: Formula Student Team Delft Workflow with Xsens and MATLAB & Simulink

Overview

Formula Student Team Delft, in collaboration with Xsens and MathWorks, will demonstrate their workflow for integrating motion sensors with MATLAB & Simulink in Formula Student development. This session will explore how Formula Student Team Delft uses Xsens sensors with MathWorks tools for vehicle data collection, processing, and simulation to enhance their car’s performance. Attendees will gain insights into sensor fusion, data-driven modeling, and simulation-based validation in motorsports engineering.

Highlights

  • How the Formula Student Team Delft collects and utilizes sensor data from Xsens devices.
  • Data processing, visualization, and analysis using MathWorks tools.
  • Understanding sensor fusion and simulation for racecar development.
  • Practical insights from Formula Student Team Delft engineers, Xsens experts, and MathWorks professionals.
