License Manager Error -9: "Your username is not authorized to use this license"
Show older comments
Hello,
I am encountering the License Manager Error -9 while attempting to run MATLAB R2024b using a trial license.
The error message states:
Your username is not authorized to use this license. To resolve this issue, reactivate your license.
The diagnostic information provided is as follows:
- Feature: MATLAB
- License path:
- C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2024b_licenses\
- C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2024b\licenses\license.dat
- C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2024b\licenses\trial_13100468_R2024b.lic
- Licensing error: -9,57
I have verified that the .lic file is present in both the licenses directory under the MATLAB installation folder and the user profile folder. I have also tried reactivating the license and setting the MLM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to the trial license path.
However, the issue persists. Could you please advise on how to resolve this error? Is there a specific configuration or step that I am missing for trial licenses?
Thank you for your assistance.
