When I attempt to run a code cell at a breakpoint, the code will often not execute. Code evaluate always works if I highlight and call evaluate.
This typically occurs if I make a change to the code cell of the file I'm debugging. Sometimes everything works fine, however most instances the code does not run at all. Other times it appears to attempt to run a portion of the code resulting in an error by executing only a part of a variable's name. For example, if the code in the cell was variable_name = 1;, the error would be
Unrecognized function or variable 'variable_'.
Error in file (line 164)
variable_name = 1;
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I'm using MATLAB 2025a. This has not been an issue with earlier versions of MATLAB (2019, 2020, 2022).

Attach some scripts that produce these failure cases, so that we can try it.
