I am installing MATLAB on my computer, which has Internet access. However, I may not always have Internet access on this computer, due to events such as traveling. Can MATLAB and its toolboxes be run on an offline computer? How do I install MATLAB to run without future Internet access?

MATLAB and its toolboxes can be run on a computer without Internet access. Individual and Designated Computer licenses, once installed, no longer require any sort of network access to run. Network Named User and Network Concurrent licenses do not necessarily require Internet access, but do require network access to communicate with the computer that has been setup as the network license manager for the license.
However, Login Named User licenses always require Internet access to start and run. Unlike other licenses, Login Named User licenses must connect to MathWorks servers to authenticate MathWorks Account credentials. If the computer trying to run a Login Named User licenses does not have Internet access, the MATLAB startup will fail.
Additionally, the means through which MATLAB is installed do not effect its availability in an offline environment. Even if the online login-based installation is used to install an Individual or Designated Computer license, MATLAB will be available offline once the installation has been completed.
Network-based MATLAB licenses, such as Network Concurrent and Network Named User do not require an internet connection to run MATLAB, but do require a connection to the license manager server on the local network in order to access the license.
The only license types which require an internet connection are:
