I would be very grateful if you let me know why the second line in the code (provided in the web address above) returns an error: Undefined function 'report' for input arguments of type 'char'.

Unfortunately this prevents the report being generated.

That documentation page is for the most recent release of MATLAB Report Generator, currently release R2018b. The Release that you've tagged this question with is release R2013a. MATLAB Report Generator has changed significantly in the five years between those releases. Refer to the documentation included in your installation of release R2013a for instructions on how to create a report using that installation.
