How to define a dependent variable as function of integer with infinite values

Hello
How can I plot the below signal
x(n) = 1 + n/3 for -3<=n=<-1
x(n) = 1 for 0<=n<=3
x(n)= 0 elsewhere
where n is a interger with infinite range.

This sounds like a homework assignment. If it is, show us the code you've written to try to solve the problem and ask a specific question about where you're having difficulty and we may be able to provide some guidance.
If you aren't sure where to start because you're not familiar with how to write MATLAB code, I suggest you start with the MATLAB Onramp tutorial (https://www.mathworks.com/support/learn-with-matlab-tutorials.html) to quickly learn the essentials of MATLAB.
If you aren't sure where to start because you're not familiar with the mathematics you'll need to solve the problem, I recommend asking your professor and/or teaching assistant for help.

for n = [-3:1:-1]
x(n)= 1 + n/3
and for n = [0:1:3]
x(n)=1
plot (n,x(n))
end
This is the code I wrote.
And I still can't figure out how to define an infinite range for independent variable n. When I try n=[-inf:1:inf], an error pops saying "Requested array exceeds the maximum possible variable size."
Also I am an independent practioner trying to learn Matlab. This isn't a homework problem for me.
Kindly advise if possible.
