I am trying to start the network license manager. I do not have lmstart, lmdown, lmstat, or lmtools.exe available to me. Why weren't they installed?

The scripts lmstart, lmdown and lmstat are included with the Network License Manager that is installed through the MathWorks Product Installer or ISOs and DMGs, when selecting "I want to install network license manager" from the Advanced Options dropdown. The scripts are used to start and stop the Network License Manager through the terminal for Linux and macOS.
On Windows, starting and stopping the Network License Manager is done with lmtools.exe.
For instructions on starting the Network License Manager, refer to the following documentation.
