How can I add annotations to GUI figures generated using GUIDE?

I would like to add annotations to a GUI figure that I have created and also be able to make some of the modifications.

This can be done by making the GUI figure handles visible and then turning on the Plot Tool features. This makes It possible to use plottools (Figure Palette) to add annotations and other modification to the figure.
