Hot off the heels of my High Performance Computing experience in the Czech republic, I've just booked my flights to Atlanta for this year's supercomputing conference at SC24.
Will any of you be there?

Not this year. I'll be at The MathWorks booth quite a lot if anyone wants to hang out and chat. I'll also be hanging out at the AWS booth sometimes as part of their partners program. The focus at the AWS booth will be on quantum computing.
I like attending some of the Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions as they are usually pretty interactive. I've not worked out my program yet but some of the sessions I have my eye on right now incklude
- Batch Linear Algebra Software, Present and Future
- Foundational Large Language Models for High-Performance Computing — Challenges and Opportunities
- HPC Outreach: Mastering the Art of Science Communication
- Open OnDemand User Group Meeting (Many of our HPC users now use Open OnDemand)
- Agriculture Empowered by Supercomputing (Sounds fascinating. Also, MathWorks have got a bunch of users in commerical and academic agriculture!)
- Challenges in Professional Skill Development - New Tools and Strategies
- Reproducibility and Provenance
These are just a subset of what's happening on one day (Tuesday). I've not looked at the other days yet. Setting up a schedule for SC is a complicated business!
Many of those events above are at the same time, so I'll coordinate with other members of the MathWorks SC team to ensure that everything of interest to MathWorks is covered by at least one of us.
