Add another option. When going on vacation, my answer is " MATLAB ?? What's that ? "
I voted "bring but not use". But then, the time I went on "vacation" a couple of weeks ago (a church convention far enough away to get a hotel), I did use MATLAB on a Cody problem.

Not even sure what that means. How would you answer "Give me code for vacation."? It doesn't make sense to me. You might as well be asking "Give me fish for bicycle" for all it means to me. If he's looking for some coding to do while on vacation he should check out Cody. It has lots of interesting puzzles he can work on for fun.
matlab online and the matlab app has been great for quick robotics work and using the cellphone as a deployed sensor, hope this trend continues

I have utilized the app in a pinch to complete my control systems assignment while on vacation.
i need code
I have no idea what the people who say they want code want. The code that allows me to create a poll, post it to the web, collect responses from individual users, and show a histogram of user reponses is created and held by the Mathworks and is not available to you, or even me. If you want to host polls on your own web site, then I'm sure there are training classes and tools out there to help you with doing that, but Mathworks will not give you their code or assist you with adding a poll to your web site.
