There are functions built into MATLAB thingSpeakRead and thingSpeakWrite that allow you to read data from public channels and your ThingSpeak channels. The data you store in thingSpeak can come from an http or MQTT IOT device or from writes in MATLAB or from another HTTP enabled device (even your web browser).
